Email prison

Although it's the weekend, I tend to go through my emails at least once, as I average anywhere from 50-250 emails a day in my inbox. I subscribe to local newspaper news feeds, List-Servs, Google Alerts, etc., so my inbox tends to get full fast. All of these emails are important research for my job, but I sometimes feel as if I am in email prison!

One of the things I've done to cut down on my emails is to use Google Reader to condense all of my subscriptions into one site. It enables me to log in and see any and all updates to the sites I follow which include blogs, Twitter feeds and various websites. It is my favorite internet tool by far!
